I photograph family sessions at Lake Michigan throughout the year, but my most popular months are late spring, summer, and early fall. Golden hour (the hour right after sunrise or before sunset) gives us that soft, dreamy light that works perfectly for outdoor family photos.

If you’re hoping to schedule a summer or fall session, I recommend booking early to secure your date. Weekend sessions, especially during peak fall color, tend to fill up quickly.
