…and why you’ll love working with me, too.
I’m Ren Lenhof, the full-time photographer behind Studio 29 Photography, and I’ve been professionally documenting weddings, families, and brands since 2010 — but honestly? My journey started way before that.
I photographed my very first wedding in high school.
Was I nervous? Totally.
Did I fall in love with it? Instantly.
After graduating from college, I launched Studio 29 Photography and never looked back. Since then, I’ve built a multi-six-figure photography business that’s taken me all over the U.S. and beyond — from Wisconsin to Oregon, New York to West Virginia, Mexico to Jamaica, Belize, and more.

I’ve photographed love stories, growing families, and powerful brand moments in:
Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Oregon, New York, Mexico, Jamaica, Belize… and counting.
And it’s not just clients who trust me.
Over the last 14+ years, I’ve had the honor of working with incredible brands like:
Martha Stewart, Barstool Sports, West Elm, PUMA, Seventeen, Nordstrom, Apartment Therapy, The Spruce, Baird, Merrill Lynch, Baker Tilly, Kindbody, Diet Pepsi, and dozens more.
My work has been published in:
-
Better Homes & Gardens
-
Brides Magazine
-
Milwaukee Magazine
-
Country Living
-
Wedding Chicks
-
Wisconsin Bride (including multiple covers)
-
Woman’s World
-
And over 50+ other magazines, blogs, and editorial features
But here’s what really matters…
The work is just the surface. What matters most is how I show up.
Clients come to me when they want their memories documented with intention, without cheesy poses or high-stress chaos. Whether I’m photographing a destination wedding or an in-home newborn session, my goal is always the same: to create honest connections, tell beautiful stories, and capture timeless photos that you’ll actually want to frame.
My husband Caleb and I photograph weddings together, and I personally shoot all Milwaukee-area family, maternity, newborn, and branding sessions.
Some fun facts (because yes, I’m a real person too)
-
I became a first-time mom in September 2024. Baby Lake is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
-
We have two dogs: Kenzo (our gentle Akita) and Monkey (our wildly photogenic German Shepherd).
-
I play ice hockey — and I’m a goalie. Small but mighty.
-
We have over 150 houseplants in our home. It’s a jungle, and I love it.
- We have a studio space in Bay View – in the Lincoln Warehouse called The Green Room. We rent it out to other creatives and for small events!
-
I’ve only ever driven manual transmission cars.
-
I love interior design. Our home was featured on West Elm’s Blog – we are currently in the depths of building our dream home on ~8 acres! I look forward to sharing more about this soon!
- I run a lifestyle blog called House Fur, where I share our family life, plant care tips, clean living swaps, and more.
So… why Studio 29?
Because I’ve been doing this for nearly 15 years, and I care deeply about every session, whether it’s a wedding day, a brand shoot, or a chaotic-in-the-best-way family photo session.
I’ve built my business on trust, expertise, and creativity, and the people I photograph become more than just clients. They become part of the Studio 29 fam.
If you’re looking for a photographer who blends experience with real-life relatability, and stunning images with a seamless experience… I’m your person.
