Easy Tyger – Milwaukee, Wisconsin // Studio 29 Photography

Feb 15, 2017

One of my recent On My Mind Monday posts was “Milwaukee Dinner Date Ideas” and in the “restaurants we are excited to try soon” portion of the entry I mentioned Easy Tyger. Located on Brady Street in one of the most trendy business & restaurant districts in the city, Easy Tyger has found itself the perfect seat.
This eclectic restaurant pulls influence from Asian and American cultures and is a worthy destination for your evening dinner or Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is modern, spacious, and soaked in soft sunlight from their large southern facing windows.
With a contemporary approach to familiar foods and cocktails, the menu is divided into sections showcasing well-prepared Snacks, Plates, and Drinks.
Last weekend was our second consecutive Sunday morning spent at Easy Tyger and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the same meal; a Thai Bloody Mary & Korean breakfast pancake (wild rice scallion pancake, pork belly bulgogi, scrambled egg, kimchi mayo). I honestly cannot stress how exquisite the Thai Bloody Mary is. Thai spices and pickled + peppered garnishes take this Bloody Mary to another level.
Caleb had previously tried the (outstanding) Tygriddle (french toast battered english muffin, ham, fried egg, american cheese, maple syrup, side salad) but this time he ordered their Breakfast burger (grilled 1/3 pound black angus burger, red onion bacon jam, swiss cheese, hollandaise, sunny side up egg, on an english muffin, with hand cut fries) After receiving our beverages, our waitress graciously gave us a plate of their house made apple cider-iced five-spice donuts.
Our drinks and entrees came out at the perfect pace, and our waitress was friendly, attentive, and non-intrusive. Even without the complimentary donuts, the service could not have been better.
The prices are reasonable and between the cocktails, unique beer list, and the smaller snack plates, you could easily find yourself at Easy Tyger for a while.
We will definitely be back again soon; I already have my eye on the dinner version of the Korean Pancake. Plus, I really appreciate their OPEN sign constructed from a Lite Brite and would love to see it illuminated at night.
PS: On Wednesdays they have a Fantasy Factory and Pho special for $13!
