Stienstra Summer Family Session – Milwaukee Family Photographer

The heat is ON this summer with the high humidity heatwave in Milwaukee!

A few weeks ago, I had a family session to shoot.  I was super nervous that it was going to be too hot for the family, kiddos, & me.

Honestly, the conditions for the shoot were far from ideal.  The kids were fussy, I was just getting over a cold, and the heat & sticky humidity was making everyone a bit cray-cray!

But I showed up for it with my all!  I click-click-clicked away & all the parents did everything they could to wrangle in their little ones.

I guarantee we all walked away feeling a bit nervous about how everything went.

Yet, when I sat down to edit, I was BLOWN AWAY at the stunning photos on my screen.  The smiles, the bright eyes, and joyous crew showing up to be together even in the heat.

I think it just goes to show that even when you feel like a HOT MESS, you still get exactly what you need out of any circumstance.

I’m really proud of that family for showing up and finding little moments with each shutter close to find the joy in loving each other.  And I feel damn lucky that I got to be the person to capture it!

Heatwave ain’t got nothing on us!  I mean, just look at those smiles for proof!
