That’s Baby Lake for me. Sometimes I bring him to The Green Room—my cozy, plant-filled photography studio here in Milwaukee and we just play around while I snap a few photos. When I bring Lake in, I don’t have to bundle him up or worry about the wind messing up his tiny curls. He can just be himself, and that’s when the magic happens.

My sessions last about 30 minutes to a little over an hour, which is the sweet spot for capturing plenty of great images without kids (or parents) getting tired.

Yes! Bring your child’s favorite toy, a cozy blanket, or even your family dog. It helps tell your story and makes the photos even more personal.
