Photography Sessions at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland

Last weekend, I photographed another session at Brookside Gardens, and I would happily get on a plane to do it again and again!! I grew up in Annapolis, so Maryland has a personal connection for me and all of my family lives back east, so getting to photograph you there gives me another reason to come back!!

Why I Love Photographing Sessions in Maryland

As a photographer, I’m looking at more than flowers. I’m watching where the light falls, which colors will complement your clothes, and how the background will photograph behind you. Brookside Gardens gives me plenty to work with. We can bring different textures and surroundings into your gallery without turning your session into a tour of several locations.

I’d love to return to Brookside Gardens as often as possible for family photos, senior portraits, maternity photos, or a couples session.

For families, that means room for your children to be themselves. We can walk, pause, and let them stay curious while I guide you through the session. For high school seniors, we can choose outfits and backgrounds that match your personality. You should recognize yourself in your portraits, right down to how you stand, laugh, and move.

Planning your Brookside Gardens Photography Session

Brookside Gardens requires a paid photography permit for portrait sessions, so we’ll need to coordinate your session time with permit availability. Outdoor photography permits do not include the conservatory. The gardens change throughout the year, which means the season will influence our backgrounds. Once we choose a date, we can talk through clothing and the look you want for your photos. I am so excited to start planning with you!
