4 Things Brides Should Know For Great Wedding Photos

9/28/20

Your wedding day will be fantastic, of course, but you won’t want it to just last a few hours. You’ll want it to last a lifetime! And how do you do that? By having great wedding photos taken, of course! If you’re able to get this part of your wedding right, then your big day will be immortalized forever. You’ll be able to enjoy your wedding, again and again, even many years down the line.

But of course, it’s not as your wedding photos will automatically be amazing. You have to do things to ensure it’s the case. In this blog, we’ll take a look at a few things every bride should know, to ensure that they get the photos they deserve.

Who You Work With

It all begins with the photographer that you work with. If you have a top-quality photographer, then you’ll be on the right track — indeed, those awesome photos will be all but guaranteed! There will be plenty of wedding photographers to choose from, of course. So how do you pick the right one? There are two things to think about—first, the quality of their work. You should be able to see that from their portfolio. Second, how well you click with them. If you feel comfortable in their presence, then that’ll be a pretty positive sign!

Dress and Makeup

A great photographer can still only capture what’s right in front of them. So make sure what they’re snapping is pretty magnificent. For this, it’ll be all about ensuring that you have a beautiful dress, hair, and makeup. For your dress, look at getting one from a company that specializes in beautiful bridal dresses, such as Madison James. For your hair and makeup, it’ll be all about recommendations. With the holy tri factor of the dress, hair, and makeup all watertight, you’ll be on your way to having great photos taken.

Types of Photographs

As well as the quality of the photographs, you’ll want to think about the types of photographs that are being taken. Your wedding photos should tell the story of the whole day, not just the exact moment that you got married. That means having the photographer with you when you’re getting ready, during the event, and then of course taking photographs with different combinations of people. You’ll be able to relive the whole day! You should also try to have photos taken in various locations (though not too many…that’ll take too much time).

Feeling Relaxed and Smiley

Finally, remember that one of the most important things when it comes to taking good photos is to ensure that you’re feeling relaxed. We know, we know: wedding days can be stressful. But there are some tools you can use that’ll help you to relax, and also just enjoy the day more. Indeed, simply being aware that you might be stressed is enough to keep it at bay. You’ll find that you’re smiling naturally if you’re feeling good, and that’ll always lead to great photographs.
